I'm gonna get so much hate for this but how do I actually use this in my own journal?
PS I only just got a premium membership so this is all new to me. Also I gave you 10 points as a compensation for using it. =)

Well, first of all, the journal is free so I don't need to pay me anything to use it! :aww:

Okay, as you are completely new... I'll try to give you the steps to install this journal skin.

1) Goto new journal from your profile
2) On the top-left you should get a link which says "edit skin"

Now I suppose you've downloaded the file from this deviation and you have a file with .rar extension. Its a zipped file which you need to first unzip it using any unzip software such as winrar or winzip (for windows). Now using these tools you should extract the files inside it and get a word document. Okay now you're almost ready to install the skin.

3) Open the word doc and you shall get the instructions to install the skin. Put all the codes in their respective boxes whichever applies HEADER, CSS and FOOTER.
4) Save the skin with a name such as "Zeno Journal"
5) Type in the content of the journal as usual but you should read the doc. to get some extra tags to put titles and stuffs.

6) Enjoy! :D

I downloaded the file but it wasn't zipped. So when I opened it the coding was all messed up. Is this normal for some people's downloads?

...

Seriously? Distributing code in a .docx document?

Thats...a terrible idea. just use .txt, which won't potentially fuck over formatting, or irritate people trying to read it.

Also, why's the menu a completely different style to the rest of the journal?

Seriously, if you're going to go with that menu bar, use dark colors everywhere, because otherwise it looks bad, both aesthetically and to people judging whether YOU made the CSS.

First of all, sorry for the inconvenience for the .docx file...Let me see, i will upload a normal format for everyone..

Secondly, I did not like the way you have spoken out your words! This is my very first journal and I'm not a pro in CSS yet..So mistakes are obvious for me. Btw other CSS makers who has their gallery full of CSS has made positive comments on this. I am not offended by your negative comments but the only thing that I did not like is the way you've said it (using discriminating words)!

And for the menubar, I made it the way I wanted to be. Everyone has got their own style and design. But still I'm thankful for your suggestions. I'll try to improve the overall design in my next journal..

I am simply suggesting that you make it actually fit in with the rest of the journal. This isn't even a question of design. It looks horribly tacked on a out of place, like you were trying to do a different journal skin but never finished.

I love the menu bar, by the way, just the rest of the journal doesn't fit it.

Secondly, do you REALLY think I care what other people think of your journal skin?

Hell, do you really think I care what other people think about MY journal skins?

I will express my opinion, in the hope that it might make your future journals that little bit better. Ignore it if you wish. That's fine.

Equally, if you really want me to rip into it and say what I don't like, I can do that too, and offer how I'd change it. if you think these posts have been negative, don't get me started.

Haha.. :D

I know this journal was not good..
The border color accidentally did not match with the DA color,I messed it up. I thought of blending it properly but then I was too tired to do it..So i left it.
Will try to do something better next time. :)

And thank you for you point of view, really I like to hear others opinion on my works! It really helps me to get better! :)

Why set a color at all? transparent will allow it to blend/stand out even when da v8 COMES...

Nice work, love the buttons :D

One suggestion--don't have the normal text with the backdrop like that? Makes it a bit harder to read.

Oh! Is that so? But others did not have any problem using it!!

Try deleting the previous codes completely and paste my codes as it is in your journal...
