My intention was to post about the 100pt giveaway results in this blog today. However, I have changed my mind to post this blog instead after seeing a documentary video from BBC just now.

I have so much to say. I can write endlessly here but this video says most of it.

It is very shocking to see how females are being deprived in India. I am truly ashamed. But the most shocking thing that I have come across to know very recently from a friend of mine is that in a porn site, the 16th Dec Delhi rape case girl's pic was being used as an Ad with a message saying..

"Want to know how college girls are making XXXXX amount of money every month?"

The image that was used for the Ad was this one (the right one):

Yes, it is true! I have seen it myself. I am not naming the site here because I am not here to promote porn but to tell you that this is true.

This was so very shocking to see how humanity has crossed every lines they could possibly make. HOW CAN YOU USE IMAGES OF THOSE VICTIMS FOR AN AD in a porn site man???

After seeing this the first thing that came to my mind was how many of those pics must those porn sites have used from different sources for an Ad! For god sake they are using pics of those who are no more in this world or had been struggling throughout their lives.

If you believe you can help me spread this news then please consider faving :+fav: this journal to get it up to the journal portal.

The entire concept of rape disgusts me. Yeah, you might have those sorta of desires, there is nothing wrong with that. But to let them out by forcing sexual intercourse on another human being is wrong on so many levels.
No one, male or female, should have to put up with that. Rape is sickening.

Rightly said...Even I have the same opinion. Yes, everyone has a desire to get someone or to be with someone or whatsoever (especially guys) but forcing someone is just so wrong.

A very close friend of mine confessed about her rape to me about a month or two before. But then she said something that actually struck my mind. It is not the exactly the "desire" that makes one do that crime but it's the "power" (that the other gender doesn't have). She explained to me by asking a question, "What if all the girls were stronger than guys physically?"

...I've never thought of it that way. So, I guess it's a mixture of the desire and the power that leads to the crime.

I come from India. I actually stay here. And I remember when this happened :( It was terrible... There were so many protests and candle light marches to make harsher rape laws... The Government promised a whole load of sh*t, but none of it has been granted :(
It's sad really...
Delhi is called the rape capital :(

This is horrible.....
That's not a good thing that a girl[[not sure exactly how innocent she is, I can't watch the video since my computer doesn't have sound]]is being used as an AD!! I mean, that picture was probably just an everyday normal pic, she just felt pretty or something, and then someone takes it and distributes it for the porn industry.
Disgusting, vile, pigs.
What's even sicker is thinking about how the people who posted the ADs most likely don't care about what her family will think.
They'll see her pic in an ad for porn, and automatically assume she must be conspiring with the porn industry. :'c

Sadly that's how the world is starting to get now days... Woman are starting to be treat as dirt and some men just think that woman are sex objects(*cough*cough* blurred lines *cough*cough*. Sadly I just found out that one of my friends got raped.......Woman has a terrible life back then because if their husband wanted sex and she didnt' then she got raped :(. And she later on when woman started to becoming Allowed to vote then we gained a lot more respect but now its just spiraling down.......

Rape is worse and common in the Middle East. In America it hurts mentally. It hurts a lot. Some Men just don't realize how special virginity is to a girl. Ever since my best friend has been raped, she sadly now has a low self esteem. And it happened to her when she was little as in 6 years old....and she barely had any friends because she didn't want to be judge and someone found out at her school and now she is getting bullied for it. She couldn't stop it. She was forced to by a grown men. Either way rape hurts a lot to a girl. Young or grown. Even if they had sex before or they didn't have sex. It still hurts...

Tell your friend that I love her. She is strong for still being able to live in this world after what happened. And, if you could... would you tell those bullies to fuck off? Because that is just wrong. How would they feel if they were raped at a young age? I bet they wouldn't feel so good afterwards, eh? Tell your friend that she's a strong person, and to keep moving on. I salute her!

What is wrong with the world? How is it that countries like India to name just one of many, are allowed to treat their females citizens this way? Why have the women in those countries allowed it? We had the suffragettes back in the early 20th century to point the way to true civilisation! It's a shame that these backward countries (mostly islamic although some are catholic) haven't grasped the idea of equality for all yet. A sad state the world is in, where religion can do this to a fellow human being, no matter what their gender or sexuality!

I have to add, that rape is not just confined to these countries, we in the west & here in Britain, experience some terrible rape/abuse/paedophilia crimes!Q Myself I believe that if the perpetrator has been caught 100% then get rid of the horrible oxygen thief. The world would be much better off without it!

For the people in disagreement with this blog; it's ok not to give a fuck about a random girl who was brutally raped and died because of the injuries she sustained and it is also ok to not give a fuck about a girl who traveled to country a with hopes for good times, but was disrespected instead. Unfortunately this "not giving a fuck" shows how much empathy we have for our own species. Then there is the comparison of problems, that's very ameature of you all who compare such issues on the "worst" scale, I understand there are worst things than rape, but I think being dead is better than being scarred for life. And more of all we should not compare at all unless we really go through such issues. And whining about it is not a bad thing, sometimes fear gets a hold of you that you just can't fucking do anything about it rather whine. It's ok to whine you mature people, we are not super-humans who heal instantly or erase bad memories. We are weak in certain cases and we all whine when it comes to that. I am sure no one is an exception in that.

Someone is trying to present a dark side of a nation here, not as entertainment, rather as a fact. Please try to learn from it, if it's not your favorite material then you can simply skip the pages, after all it is impossible to make everyone happy. I respect your opinions, but try to respect the dead, specially the dead whom even justice won't do any good because they are dead. I am from India, and I know India is a fucked up place for girls. I humbly request to the people in disagreement with this blog, please put your negative opinions here freely, but show a little mature respect. I am sure it is not a difficult thing to do.

I interpret what you say as: "no matter what, SOMEONE will certainly see you as an object" which is not the woman's fault, but the other person's twisted view.

If that's so, you are completely right and the other girl is in denial or misunderstanding things. it's a fact that women are objectified by far too much people, still.

No, not always. Do you see every woman as an object? You can't speak for everyone. There are woman who have respect and responsibility for the human body and they don't wear like whores or act like one. For example, Oprah, Michelle Obama, Toni Morrison are not an object. And I'm definitely not one.

Yeah, there are woman who wear "male" clothes and still are seen as an object. You know why? Because people are freaking retarded, and they want to see everyone as an object, even men, children, animals, etc are seen as an object. Don't blame woman for just being woman.

What TK-Kid has nothing to do with what you replied. I don't think you understood what he/she was trying to say. But I do understand your point even though it has nothing to do with TK-Kid's reply. I work for a middle school and all the male students (the majority in 7th to 8th grade) are very disrespectful when they talk to female students. It's not just about the way females carry themselves. It's also about what the media feeds our boys and what they teach them. Sex is all over the media and women are objectified as a means to sell to the consumer. I find it disgusting as I have three little girls and I would hate it if they had to go through this kind of pain.

You just have to keep pushing.

I believe what she meant, and this is how I read it. Was that no matter how hard we try there are always going to be those out there that view us as nothing more than objects. It seems to be part of the male upbringing.. I see it at times even with my own husband.

Women have had a very set roll through history and even though the world is changing and men are finally starting to see us as more than objects.. we are still a very very long shot off from being equal in their eyes.

" There are woman who have respect and responsibility for the human body and they don't wear like whores or act like one... And I'm definitely not one."

Is what I was referring to - it had nothing to do with what Kid was talking about. But as I said - I do agree with your point there.

I believe I understand why you responded the way you did in retrospective though. But I 'think', as I can't read their mind of course lol, that they are referring to female victims who are already being objectified. But to a certain extent, the way he/she worded the reply is probably just a blunder.

And yes, there are men who don't objectify women and men are also susceptible of falling prey. There is a very good movie to watch that talks about this topic "Killing us softly". Not sure if I can post a link, but here it goes Killing us Softly 4

chill out girl -_- ...my idea is simple,people*woman's-especially* are always judged, just like you said "... there are woman who wear "male" clothes and still are seen as an object...because people are freaking retarded, and they want to see everyone as an object, even men, children, animals, etc are seen as an object..."only that unfortunately for woman this fact needs to be underlined,it's all abut opinions and judgements...
Anyway thats just my opinion(and life experience from seeing how woman are seen from man here) not really caring to offend someone, but however just like me you are free to say whatever you like...so...
